Community Spirit in North Wales: Supporting #FeedTheNHSWales

At Blighty Booch, we are incredibly proud of our Welsh roots. When times get tough, the resilience, generosity, and spirit of our local community never fail to inspire us.

As we look back on our journey as a small business, one of our proudest moments was having the opportunity to team up with local partners to support the true heroes in our community: the front-line staff of the NHS.

The #FeedTheNHSWales Campaign

During a period of unprecedented challenge, an incredible grassroots movement took off across the country. The #FeedTheNHSWales campaign saw 831 generous people come together to raise an astounding £55,000. Every single penny of this crowdfunded effort was dedicated to purchasing food supplies and providing hot, nourishing meals for front-line NHS staff across Wales.

A Humble Offering for NHS Heroes

We were genuinely honoured to see our Blighty Booch Kombucha included in the packed lunches distributed to NHS staff working tirelessly in Gwynedd and Conwy.

We know that a bottle of living tea doesn’t remotely compare to the immense pressures and challenges faced by our healthcare workers. However, our hope was simply to provide a small moment of refreshment, support gut health during stressful shifts, and bring a smile to a few faces during an incredibly difficult time.

A Massive Thank You to Dylan’s Restaurants

None of this would have been possible without our friends at Dylan’s Restaurants. Their team worked exceptionally hard to coordinate the logistics with #FeedTheNHSWales, ensuring these vital meals and drinks safely reached the people who needed them most.

It is local partnerships like these that remind us of the power of community. When local restaurants, small producers, and generous individuals come together, amazing things happen.

We have kept the original crowdfunding link archived for those who want to read more about the initiative: Feed The NHS Wales JustGiving. While the hardest days of that specific period may be behind us, our gratitude for the NHS—and for the beautiful North Wales community we call home—remains as strong as ever.
